Joey Mason - MoCCA Fest 2024 Portfolio

Hi, I’m Joey Mason, an illustrator/art director and past exhibitor at MoCCA Fest. The festival has had a huge impact on my career and hoping to return in 2024! I am currently an Art Director for Disney and transitioning my work to be more illustration- and journalism-based work.

I do reportage-style illustrations of places and events in my base city of Los Angeles, as well as New York and other places around the city and the globe. I self-publish the work online and in paperback compilations, as well as art shows like my exhibition at the Galway Cartoon Festival.

To support this independent work, and in addition to the paperbacks, I offer originals, high-quality prints, and some merchandise like stationary items. All three have been successful at MoCCA Fest, including my custom pen pouches with art supplies included.

As well as that more personal-driven work, I’ve recently done illustration work for Outdoors Magazine and Topps. I’ve also recently had pop-culture inspired illustrations shown at My animation credits include Winnie the Pooh, M.O.D.O.K., Adam Ruins Everything, Stretch Armstrong and a ton of Warner Brothers series.
