Hi New York Comic-Con! I’m Joey Mason, a Designer, Illustrator, and Art Director from Los Angeles.

I have a background in comics and 16 years in animation for both kids and adults… where I’ve worked on lots of comics-inspired series - M.O.D.O.K., Stretch Armstrong, Spectacular Spider-Man, Green Lantern and Batman.

In my free time I also do on-location cityscape illustrations that are a combination of animated style and retro cartooning. My New York cityscapes were a big hit at last year’s NYCC! I’ve published 3 compilations of my work with a few more in the works this year.

I love tabling in Artist Alley as a way to share and support my independent work, as well as connect with fans and other artists. Giving animation portfolio reviews and advice from my experience is also a great part of tabling, especially when traveling to places where artists are interested in animation but far from the industry hub. in LA.

Participating in NYCC Artist Alley last year was an amazing experience and would love to return this year!
